- Gold Heart Appeal Campaign unveils the “new look” Gold Heart badge with Alesha Dixon
- Gold Heart badges available to buy nationwide in the UK now
- Raising a disabled child costs £26,000 a year, three times more than raising a non-disabled child and everyday in the UK 75 children are born or diagnosed with a disability
Established in 1991, the iconic badges have featured different designs over the years. This year’s design features the classic gold finish and Alesha’s signature. Each Gold Heart badge sold will help to raise much-needed funds for sick, disabled and disadvantaged children and young people all over the country. The badges will go on sale in all Co-operative stores, H Samuel branches, Cineworld, Odeon and across all AHG/MWB venues including Malmaison, Liberty, Greens Health & Fitness, DeVere Venues and Village Hotels in addition to local retailers and from The Variety Club website.
“The Variety Club is a fantastic charity helping so many thousands of children and young people every year regardless of whether they are sick, have mobility problems, are disabled or come from disadvantaged backgrounds.I’m so happy to be involved in this Gold Heart campaign, where every badge you buy will make a real difference to someone’s life. And remember just three badges will pay for an unforgettable day out for one of our young people. Have a heart, help a child.” – Alesha Dixon
Every little helps… so why don’t you?!
