Despite recent research that says more than two thirds of women prefer to receive a practical gift on Valentine’s Day, Vax advises men not to take heed of this advice for fear of losing their loved one, it’s not rocket science!!
Valentine’s Day celebrates love and affection between couples and Vax’s non-scientific poll therefore suggests that gifts should be romantic and thoughtful. If you buy a vacuum cleaner, an exercise DVD or a self-help book for your partner don’t even think about presenting yourself at home… this is deadly territory!
On the other hand, DOING something practical for your partner will be seen as thoughtful and romantic. So if she has been moaning about the state of the house, clean it up for her – don’t buy her a new vacuum! If she says she needs to exercise, suggest a romantic walk. As for the self-help book?… don’t even go there, and definitely not in hard back!
So in short, don’t buy your loved one a Vax for Valentine’s Day, but do use your vacuum cleaner or carpet washer to clean up your home and show her you love her! …Surely this is OBVIOUS!!!
