British Beauty Blogger has been around for two years and has seen her blog grow from stength to strength and now with 50,000 hits a month and rising SensiChic delves into what makes BBB tick…

What made you decide on creating your blog?
[BBB] It really was that shallow – the USA feature that mentioned a trip to Chanel’s apartment made me think – I need a blog (oh if you want to see that feature go to newyorktimes.com and enter search More Swag Please) – and also because I wanted my own place to say what I really thought about products and our industry. I never in a million years thought I would get as many views as I do now.

How do you think blogs are perceived by companies, do they understand what the bloggersphere is all about?
[BBB] I think brands are starting to get their heads around blogs – particularly those who are American owned where blogging is a little further ahead than we are. It’s all still very much a learning process but the fact that they are willing – and want to learn is a very positive step.

Top 5 tips on what makes a great blog?
[BBB] Regularily, clarity, dedication and making your own stamp with your writing so your personality shines through..oh and a sense of humour!

What’s the greatest press trip you’ve been on?
[BBB] Cannes Film Festival. We all had our own hairdressers and make up artists who got us looking good for the red carpet and despite the ‘face’ of the brand at the time refusing to speak with any British press and flouncing out in a strop, followed by the French PR who virtually told us to quit whining and suck it up, it was a really gorgeous time. I also saw a post plastic surgery Mickey Rourke who I genuinely thought was Jackie Chan. For people watching and behaviour observation it was unbeatable.

OK, we have to ask… what are your absolute, can’t live without, must-have beauty products of all time?
[BBB] Ok, tricky one, but I would say Saaf Pure Skincare Cleansing Balm because I come back to it time and time again. Oh, and if I am allowed two, then Sisley Lip Balm - hideously expensive but worth every last penny.
