The art of bespoke perfumery is to appreciate which oils evoke a positive sensation. The Ormonde Jayne Perfume Portrait helps the individual discover their very own signature scent by using the purest of essential oils. The Portrait focuses the mind by allowing you to take in the scents of individual raw ingredients, and guiding you on a sensual journey to find your perfect OJ fragrance.
First of all trained staff will take down your likes and dislikes, favourite perfumes and other aromas followed by you smelling three raw ingredients from seven different families; hesperedic, light floral, intense floral, balsamic, oriental, woody and atmospheric.
At this stage you choose your preferred aroma but should not to relate the scent to a perfume you may indeed wear. The Perfume Portraits is simply about letting personal taste be guided by your mind deciphering the aromas around you.
To conclude the experience, two or three Ormonde Jayne perfumes are presented to you and this is where you would choose which you like the best.
The concept is interesting and very aroma-lead, we’re actually attending a similar Aramis and Designer Fragrances launch tomorrow however it’s more on the technological side… we’ll keep you posted!
The Perfume Portraits is available at the flagship store in The Royal Arcade and at the new Ormonde Jayne counter in The Perfume Hall on the ground hall of Harrods.
