I firmly believe that the weather has a lot to answer for, when it’s constantly grey it really effects my mood but when there are rays of sunshine things always look and feel much better and people are a lot happier.

To produce this amount of cheese, over 70 million litres of milk are used, enough to fill Londons three 2012 Olympic Swimming Pools seven times over. To celebrate Britains favourite blue, the Stilton Cheese Makers Association is launching the first ever National Stilton Week this year.

With its slightly open texture and creamy background, Stilton melts and crumbles easily.  There are lots of ways to use Stilton to give extra oomph to everyday snacks such as beans on toast, burgers and pizza or simply adding to salads, soups, sauces or gravy.

With a focus on all things British in 2012 with the Queens Diamond Jubilee and Olympic Games, the launch of National Stilton Week is a timely fit for Britains favourite Blue.
