When it comes to make-up removal I am a double cleansing freak, my ultimate combo is Crème de la Mer Cleansing Gel and Darphin Aromatic Cleansing Balm but sometimes I do stray because I enjoy trying new things, there’s nothing wrong with that is there?

My recent discoveries are Environ C-Quence Cleanser (£35.00) and Organic Detoxifying Cleanser from Beyond Organic (£19.63), in addition to any cleansing products I find a muslin cloth is imperative in achieving beautifully smooth and a glowing complexion. Now, when picking the type of formula I almost always go for a gel followed by a balm, however this time I have opted to combine a lotion plus balm for a super charged hydration boost especially post holiday… so far so good.

I prefer to use the Environ cleansing lotion on wet skin as water is an important part of my regime however you can use it on dry skin; packed with jojoba and olive oil extracts, hydrolysed oats and pro-vitamin B5 fortify means that it leaves skin feeling supple and refreshed and for some it’s more than enough, however I need that little bit extra and that’s where Beyond Organic comes in.

I love the way cleansing balms make my skin feel during and after, always ensure to give yourself a little massage during application it will make all the difference to those wrinkles in the long-term! Packed with healing active ingredients, burdock, yarrow, comfrey and hydrating oils of sesame, macadamia and coconut butter, the finishing touch of lemon eucalyptus leaves skin smelling absolutely beautiful!

Crème de la Mer has always been associated to bringing the marvels of the sea to its beauty range and with this it is no surprise that their partnership with Oceana has grown over the years.

In honour of the 5th anniversary of the partnership with Oceana, the iconic luxury pot has for the first time changed its peachy complexion to a deep blue.

Crème de la Mer has actively supported the efforts of Oceana in the protection and preservation of the oceans as a tribute to its founder, Dr. Max Huber. Inspired by the rejuvenating and renewing powers of the sea.

Crème de la Mer’s limited-edition World Oceans Day “blue” jar (£204 / 100ml) is set to donate a generous $200,000 to the organisation.

Created in 1992 and made official by the United Nations in 2009, World Oceans Day takes place annually on June 8th and is a day to recognize the sea’s importance as a vital ecosystem and take action to preserve its delicate habitats and wildlife. With over 300,000 members in 150 countries, Oceana’s science-based policies have greatly reduced over-fishing and protected threatened marine habitats.

We have been longtime followers of the classic moisturizing crème; its texture is truly luscious and really does give you that personal satisfaction of looking after your skin… Beautifully special!

What with the weather now becoming quite frosty all of a sudden over the weekend, I’ve noticed my (SiSi) lips become terribly sore OUCH!

My faithful cinnamon and clove Aveda Lip Saver (£10.50) had run out and crisis set in… what was I going to use? My luxe minty Créme de la Mer Lip Balm (£36) was only for bedtime and to be used sparingly on special occasions because of its fancy price tag.

OP Therapy saved the day with their Lip Restorer (£5.95)… Phew! I haven’t let it out of my sight since I got it on Saturday and it’s been soothing my sore pout remarkably well ever since, it must be the moisturising emu oil that does the trick! Reminding me of Lemon & Lime Slush Puppies I used to buy as a kid it brings a smile to my face and a feeling of relief on my lips.

Crisis over!!!
